PV + Storage for vintage cars

– where does that exist?!

Perfectly clear: In the romantic little Mosel city Bernkastel-Kues in Germany!

The "Zylinder Haus" (Cylinder House) is an insider's tip that not only gives car fools a glimpse into over 100 unique vintage cars, but also an all-encompassing journey through time to the early days of automobiles: On an area of 5,000 square meters, there is also a shopping gallery, cafes, a pharmacy and even a real old corner shop - lovingly and with numerous details and accessories arranged and decorated. Director Martin van Stek sees in the Zylinderhaus more than "just" a museum, more, much more: "We not only exhibit historic cars, we offer our guests a glimpse into the time in which these vehicles were created."

Museum founder Bernd Benninghoven explains the concept of the house: "We will concentrate exclusively on vehicles of German companies, even those that no longer exist." In addition to the industry leaders Auto-Union, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, and Porsche, you will also find models of rare historic vehicles such as Glas, Lloyd, Hansa, Goliath, etc., and that rolling, because Benninghoven attaches great importance to the fact that the house lives and not always the same exhibits can be seen. A restaurant and two conference rooms for conferences and seminars complete the offer of the Zylinderhaus perfectly.

The power supply for this time travel comes from a 100 kWp photovoltaic plant and our energy storage system QBATT, which storages here cascading 3 x 12 kWh of solar energy - a reference plant, which we are very proud of! A big thank you goes to Mr. Hoffmann from ibh - Ingenieurbüro Hoffmann for the conception, planning and testing and to Maifeld Solar for the installation, commissioning and maintenance of the system and our storage systems.

Since pictures say more than a thousand words, here are a few impressions for you:
